Kate created the Give Back Green program in order to give her clients a real opportunity to create a more sustainable and healthy living environment in their homes.
The home is where we begin and end our day, it is also where we spend 60% of our time! It is a great place to lay a strong foundation for living a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.
Through the Give Back Green program, Kate donates 5% of her net commission at the close of escrow to her clients to use towards green home improvements.
In addition to giving money back to her clients, Kate welcomes her clients to consult with her on their renovation projects. Whether advising her clients on indoor air quality issues, resource conservation techniques or the latest innovations in green building, Kate's expert knowledge of green building practices and sustainable living contribute extraordinary value to her clients.
As a Certified Green Building Professional, member of Build It Green and co-owner of McCaffrey Custom Construction, Inc., Kate has many trusted contacts in the green building industry that she can provide to help her clients make wise decisions in achieving the sustainable living environment that they desire while saving time, money and hassle.
Kate also has quite a lot of knowledge and experience with the permit process in the City of Alameda, local and state building code, as well as the ability to draw computer generated floor plans (including electrical and plumbing).
By giving 5% of her commission back to her clients to use towards green home improvements, Kate is giving back more than just money to her clients. Kate is:

The specific details of the Give Back Green program are as follows:
- 5% of Kate's net commission (after her company takes their split, not after taxes!) is paid back to her clients at the close of escrow. All Kate's clients have to do is ask - whether when first meeting Kate or up until before the close of escrow, if they ask they will recieve 5% back.
- This money is to be used by her clients towards green home improvements (see list below of examples)
- That's it! No fine print to read!
